OFFERING PEACE AND SOLACE

We are a private, nonprofit corporation located on John Ward Avenue at the foot of the city’s Highlands. Linwood offers full-service, year-round burial and cremation services tailored to personal, religious, and cultural preferences.

Our 45-acre burial grounds are meticulously manicured and feature expertly maintained trees, shrubs, flowers and expansive lawns, a waterfall, garden crypt mausoleum, indoor columbarium, traditional gravesites, and a nondenominational chapel.

A LEGACY OF CARE

Linwood Cemetery is the final resting place of some of Haverhill’s noted historical figures, including Ezekiel James Madison and Dr. James R. Nichols.

For generations, families have appreciated the tranquility of the grounds and the professionalism of our staff. Linwood has served area families with distinction for more than two centuries. Whether you are pre-planning burial or cremation services, or you require immediate assistance in your family’s time of need, we welcome the opportunity to design an approach that addresses your unique preferences.

THE ENDOWMENT AND PERPETUAL CARE FUND

The Trustees of Linwood Cemetery recognize that few other decisions in life are made “in perpetuity.” With that in mind, the Trustees serve as effective stewards of Linwood’s Endowment and Perpetual Care Fund. Families can be assured that maintenance of the grounds, plantings, mausoleum, tombs, roadways, and supporting infrastructures will always adhere to exacting standards, now and forever.
