Frequently Asked QuestionsQ:Why Linwood, aren’t all cemeteries the same?
A:No, cemeteries can be Municipal (managed by the city or town), Religious, Veterans (federally or state run), private for profit or private nonprofit. Linwood is a private non-profit cemetery that serves all faiths.
A:Cemeteries structure their lot prices by their individual specific needs. For example, Municipal cemeteries charge less for grave space because they will forever be funded by the taxpayer. Private for profit cemeteries base their pricing on earning profits.
Here at Linwood our lot prices are based upon our needs as a non-profit. Twenty five percent of the cost of all lot sales is placed into a perpetual care fund. The earnings from these funds will assure that the beauty of the cemetery grounds will remain throughout perpetuity.
A:Here at Linwood lots are sold by the amount of space needed. We can we provide burial space for full caskets as well as cremation burials, or a combination of both. We also provide upper and lower level burial spaces that reduces the overall cost of the lot.
A:Yes, this is called a pre-need sale. A family may call the cemetery office and make an appointment to select a lot, a mausoleum crypt or niche (cremation). We also provide indoor columbarium niche space as well.
